Position: Paramedic Department: Emergency Department Shift: Full Time 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM / 72 Hours per Pay Facility: Miami Valley Hospital South The Paramedic is a certified paramedic who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The paramedic performs duties under the direction of a licensed Emergency Physician and utilizes evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The Paramedic collaborates with the inter-professional team to provide quality care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory standards. The Paramedic performs tasks within the ED and may transport patients to other areas of the hospital.
