Job Summary: The Folder-Gluer Machine Operator will be responsible for the daily operations of our folder/gluer machine that creates finished packaging. Responsibilities: Responsible for set up, make-ready, operate, and monitor the folder/gluer equipment during the running process to meet customer specifications. Make Adjustments to account for different fold and glue patterns based on job specifications. Perform all quality checks to ensure proper gluing, and folding, and minimize waste and rework. Perform preventative and mechanical maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and cleaning as needed. Observe and monitor machine operations while running to detect and identify defects to determine if adjustments are necessary. Maintain safety, quality, maintenance and good manufacturing practices. Qualifications: Experience in Bindery or printing (Bobst Series) highly desirable. Detail-Oriented. Possesses mechanical and troubleshooting skills. General knowledge and understanding of die cutting process and equipment. Math, analytical and abstract thinking. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal and external communications to perform job duties. Ability to use measuring tools and hand tools. Proficient knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards are necessary. Good verbal and written comprehension to understand job orders and follow detailed instructions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, and distinguish between different colors. Finger and hand dexterity. Maintain a clean, organized workspace. Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment. Required to use a pallet jack. Education and Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent. Press or Finishing experience. 3-5 years' experience operating a folder/gluer machine. Physical Requirements: Standing-80%, Walking-20%, Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling 50lbs.
