Engineering Technician

Primary Responsibilities: * Perform environmental lab testing for cross functional teams. This includes chamber operation, profile development, Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT), Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), data collection & recording, vacuum testing, and reverse osmosis system. * Conduct the Receiving Inspection function on items purchased from outside vendors to determine conformance to specifications * Analyze product complaints submitted to RMA for determination of failure and report findings. Analyzing electronic products returned under all RMAs. * Perform Wetbench and other testing as required * Document and review testing results while collaborating closely with developers and product owners to resolve any issues. * Develop testing methods based on best practices. * Create and review QA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Assist with new firmware testing. * Assist Engineering & Production with MNC programming and testing. * Assist in training other QA Inspectors * Assist all engineering functions as required regarding product testing, fixture building, identification of MRO purchased items, special projects, and development of QC systems * Conduct system and/or process audits in the different areas of the Plant as specified by Management to determine conformance to specifications. Areas to audit include, but are not limited to, all production, machining, inventory, and shipping areasSecondary Responsibilities * Receive RMAs into Salesforce when arriving at the site * Ability to enter & disposition RMAs that are submitted through Salesforce * Ability to enter, disposition, review, and close RMAs that are submitted through Salesforce * Generate customer emails to release production products for shipment * Conduct equipment calibration activities as needed to maintain active calibration certifications * Other assigned dutiesRequired Skills: * Ability to work with your hands * Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) * Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds * Basic computer skills * Basic reading, writing, arithmetic (shop math), and comprehensive skills * Proven capabilities using hand tools * Production knowledge, mathematical skills, problem-solving skills, observational skills, communication skills, analytical skills * Basic mechanical skills * Use of computer system software * Teamwork orientationRequired Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): * Safety Glasses * Electrostatic Dissipative (ESD) Steel Toe ShoesRequired Education/Experience: * High School Diploma or GED * 3+ years of quality experiencePreferred: * Previous production experience with water meters * Experience in dealing technically with Suppliers and/or CustomersWork is scheduled Monday through Saturday.
