Olin Winchester, LLC ("Winchester"), considered one of the world's leading ammunition manufacturers,is seeking aNew Product Development Engineer.This position will be located at theOxford, Mississippi facility. New Product Development Engineer Essential Functions: * Act as project manager of new product development programs encompassing all product categories (i.e., consumer products, law enforcement, industrial, and military).* Responsible for all stages of development from the initial research through prototyping and initial production coordination.* Aerodynamic analysis, ballistic testing and photography, manufacturing tool design, equipment design, process definition, and quality documentation.* Troubleshoot new product constraints as they arise in manufacturing.* Lead continuous improvement initiatives that offer innovation, lean practices, and/or cost reductions.* Keep abreast of competitive new product development and maintain an awareness of new product requirements within the industry.* Assist Marketing with technical support relative to presentations, demonstrations, and new product discoveries working with Law Enforcement, Military, and Industrial representatives, as well as outdoor writers covering commercial products.New Production Development Position Requirements:* Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred. * Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (documentation required).
