Job Description Logistics Coordinator - ADM LogisticsThis is a full-time, non-exempt level position.Position Summary:This position is responsible for developing strong customer/supplier relationships and assisting with the day to day operations of these accounts. Their daily objectives include entering shipments into our TMS (Transportation Management Software), tracking shipments, and quoting lanes for internal customers. The Logistics Coordinator will ensure each location's transportation needs are met by managing customer deliveries and expectations, working with suppliers on inbound shipments to plants, and looking for ways to cut costs on each load. The Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Customer Service Manager.Job Responsibilities:Assist with leading day to day management of location's logistics and supply chain needsManage transportation expenses for internal ADM customersLogistics consulting and cost reductionsTrack and report trends on customer accounts to management, including revenue and load count reportsDevelopment and tracking of key performance indicators and metricsEstablish and meet individual goals and objectives relating to all aspect of the positionParticipate in department sales and operational meetingsParticipate and potentially lead location meetings involving transportation, supply chain, and/or procurement operations with internal ADM locationsCompletion of location tracking reportsTrack and trace shipmentsEnter orders and quotesQuoting customer businessManage location's transportation RFPsReport to IDT Project Manager with a direct line to Customer Service ManagerJob Requirements:Excellent verbal communication skills with emphasis on telephone communicationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAggressive self-starter with keen negotiation skills in order to be successful in this roleKnowledge of brokerage, third party logistics and freight forwarding is helpfulPrevious customer service experience is strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office applications such as, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is requiredA college degree is preferredAbility to build strong internal and external relationshipsAbility to work alone or in a team environmentExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
