Employment Type: Full-time, Bargaining Unit Work Hours: 35 hours/week Work Setting: Exclusively Onsite Salary: External Rate: G7 - $51,997.08 Internal Rate: G8 - $53,058.24 Application Deadline: September 27 th , 2023, by 11:59 pm Program Overview –Language Programs, Community Programs It is the goal of the CNC Program to encourage the social, physical, intellectual, cognitive, and emotional growth of each child through a balanced use of high-quality activities and experiences. This position is responsible for contributing to the provision of quality services to children under care in accordance with policies and procedures, and all applicable legislation, while promoting a balanced and equal partnership between parents and staff. What You Will Do Take the lead in meeting CNC requirements of using a child-centred approach in providing care for newcomer children by planning, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate programs. Follow all requirements and practices per CMAS and organizational policies. Maintain all required documentation to demonstrate compliance with CMAS guidelines. Plan and oversee appropriate activities for children in accordance with program philosophy. Set reasonable limits according to the child's developmental stage, and give appropriate direction, encouragement, and support individually and in groups. Responsible for registering children in the program while ensuring that child-to-staff ratios are maintained as CMAS requires. Ensure all participants provide the required medical and health-related documentation. Develop and implement support strategies with the team to ensure adequate support for special needs children as required. Ensure daily safety, health, and hygiene of the children at the CNC space. Responsible for completing accident and incident reports when necessary. Responsible for updating daily, weekly, and monthly checks of safety space, fire drills, toy recall log, and monthly schedule.
