Position Summary: The Franklin Pierce University Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Programs in New Hampshire is committed to collegial collaboration amongst all members of the Physician Assistant teaching team, across all phases of each program. The role of the Director of Program Assessment & Evaluation supports programmatic research and assessments in advancement of the applicable accreditation Standards and the program and University missions. This may include such activities as assessment of programmatic benchmarks, self-study and other assessment reporting, supervision of programmatic assessment activities, and other related duties. Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position: Research Curriculum advisement, including recommendations on longitudinal integration of evidence-based medicine principles and practices, expansion of interprofessional educational opportunities, and other mission advancement opportunities. Assist with comprehensive program curriculum revision with an emphasis on improved programmatic assessment. Program Assessment Programmatic data collection, analysis, and assessment consistent with ARC-PA ongoing self- assessment requirements and related to: Didactic and clinical course evaluations Didactic and clinical principal faculty evaluations Program and Program Director effectiveness evaluations Evaluations of clinical preceptors and clinical sites Didactic and clinical student evaluations, including clinical competency achievement and assistance with preparation for site visits. Other programmatic evaluations as needed for ARC-PA accreditation purposes. Development and implementation of innovative assessment strategies Participate in the program’s ongoing self-study and accreditation process, including preparation of documents and/or reports. Additional Responsibilities Participate in the admissions process to include reviewing applications and selecting candidates for the program. Meet requirements articulated in the Faculty Protocol, as applicable. Position Requirements / Skills / Abilities: Must have knowledge of educational, management, and adult learning theory and principles and be able to administer, assess, and document programmatic education trends and data. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related discipline. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Master’s degree required or equivalent combination of skills and experience. Graduate of an accredited PA program or related health degree (MD/PhD/NP/DO) program preferred. A current PA, NP, MD, or DO license is desired. The incumbent will work under typical office conditions.
