Key Responsibilities:Demand Planning and Inventory Management:- Develop and maintain an inventory plan based on sales forecasts, production schedules, and historical usage.- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and ingredients to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent production delays.- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.Procurement Coordination:- Collaborate with the purchasing team to place orders for raw materials promptly.- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement of materials.- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.Production Scheduling:- Work with the production team to create and adjust production schedules based on material availability.- Ensure that all materials are delivered to the production floor in the correct quantities and at the appropriate times.- Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production capacity.Data Management and Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries using the company’s ERP or MRP system. - Generate reports on inventory status, order fulfillment, and production efficiency.- Analyze data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement. Continuous Improvement:- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and reduce costs.- Implement best practices for inventory management and procurement.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain efficiency.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.- 3-5 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills:- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).Working Conditions:- Office and production floor environments.- Occasional travel to supplier sites or other company facilities.
