Please read on...&nbsp;<br /><strong>Compound Hub Specialist</strong><br />The Sample Management group at Novartis is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Compound Hub Specialist. As a key contributor within our team, you will play a crucial role in processing Novartis compounds and inventory requests through the Compound Hub Process while prioritizing customer satisfaction and order maintenance.</p><p><strong>Key Functions</strong>:<br />As a member of the Sample Management group, the primary in-lab responsibilities include:<br />&bull; Handling all new compound orders, weighing solid samples within a weigh hood using an analytical balance to create solutions for customers.<br />&bull; Utilizing the Tecan Liquid Handler to perform sample dissolution, dilution and aliquoting. Processing compound orders efficiently and accurately.<br />&bull; Loading Tecan products onto an automatic sorting system for delivery to recipients across our local sites as well as domestic and international customers.<br />Additional Responsibilities:<br />&bull; Receiving samples from both internal and external locations and ensuring all service level agreements are achieved daily, collaborating closely with scientific staff to prioritize important orders.<br />&bull; Engaging with customers directly to understand their needs, address inquiries, and provide exceptional service throughout the order fulfillment process.</p><p><strong>Skills and Qualifications:</strong><br />&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with experience working in a scientific lab, prefer to have previous experience in handling solid or liquid samples using manual equipment such as analytical balance, desktop pipetting stations, to more automated systems, for example, TECAN or Hamilton liquid handling stations.<br />&bull; Thorough knowledge of chemical compound or biological sample inventory management activities, including sample characterization, solution production, quality control, and logistics management.<br />&bull; Experience working with other laboratory robotics, such as sorter, balances, centrifuges etc. including diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.<br />&bull; Excellent personal and communication skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and maintaining professional relationships.<br />&bull; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workload effectively, and work well within a team.<br />&bull; Self-motivated, well-organized, and reliable individual with a customer-focused mindset.<br />&bull; Proficiency in MS Office products, including File Explorer and other relevant software tools.<br />&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Desired Traits &amp; Experience:</strong><br />&bull; Service-oriented mindset with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interact effectively with scientific staff.<br />&bull; Knowledge of instrumentation/systems such as Tecan evo, Biomicrolab Volume Checker, and Biomicrolab Tube Sorter.<br />&bull; 6-18 months of relevant experience in a similar role.</p><p><strong>Location: Cambridge, MA&nbsp;<br />Pay Rate: $27.93 - $35.17/hour<br />Contract: 6&nbsp;months&nbsp;<br />Health, dental, vision, 401k</strong></p><p><strong>Why Novartis?&nbsp;</strong><br />766 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2021, and while we&rsquo;re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people&rsquo;s lives.&nbsp;<br />We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
